Plat Map Books on CD
Plat Map Books are a wonderful resource
for those interested in researching genealogy or for historical study purposes.
These books are large format books and include an incredible amount of detail.
Maps are shown of the cities, towns, and villages of the time plus township maps of the rural areas. Property owners with acreages are
normally identified by name which makes it possible to identify the exact
location of a family at the time the book was published. Some editions of
these plat map books also include vintage advertising and photos of individuals,
residences, and business buildings. These valuable and rarely seen books
are now available on the County History CDs listed below. Additional plat
