Every COLOR Every PATTERN Every DESCRIPTION Imaginable

The Median Iris Rainbow

FREE Sample pages are available, see below for details.

Imagine having at your fingertips, big, full color photos of more than 400 Median Bearded Irises. How Big? In most cases, as big or bigger than the actual flowers themselves!

What are Median Bearded Irises? Median Bearded Irises are all classes of bearded irises measuring less than 28 tall. Median irises multiply faster than the Tall Bearded Irises, tolerate the extremes of winter better, and withstand windy conditions better. Growers of Median Irises enjoy up to four weeks of heavy bloom before the Tall Bearded Irises begin blooming. These are great for early Spring color (blooming starts even before the tulips) and are ideal for rock gardens, borders or anywhere you would like to see early Spring flowers. Median Irises include all of the following groups:

  • Miniature Dwarf Bearded Irises (MDB), up to 8 tall: These are the earliest blooming of the bearded irises. These form large masses that bloom in the earliest days of Spring. Photos of 8 varieties of Miniature Dwarf Irises are included.

  • Standard Dwarf Bearded Irises (SDB), 8 to 16 tall: These start blooming in early Spring, overlapping the end of the Miniature Dwarf blooming season and continue for several weeks up to the early beginnings of the Tall Bearded Iris boom season. Standard Dwarfs are well known for forming large, rapidly growing clumps that form beautiful masses of color. Photos of 181 varieties of Standard Dwarf Irises are included.

  • Intermediate Bearded Irises (IB), 16 to 28 tall: The Intermediate Bearded Irises overlap the Standard Dwarf Iris bloom season and continue into the earliest days of the Tall Bearded Iris bloom season. Like the shorter Standard Dwarf Irises, these rapidly form large, colorful clumps. Photos of 132 varieties of Intermediate Irises are included.

  • Miniature Tall Bearded Irises (MTB), 16 to 28 tall: The Miniature Tall Bearded Irises (also known as Table Irises) are known for their long, slender stems and smaller blossoms that are ideal for cut flower arrangements. These typically bloom at the same time as the Tall Bearded Irises. Photos of 46 varieties of Miniature Tall Bearded Irises are included.

  • Border Bearded Irises (BB), 16 to 28 tall (43 photos): The Border Bearded irises bloom at the same time as the Tall Bearded Irises but are somewhat shorter. These are ideal for planting in front of Tall Bearded Irises for a tiered effect. Photos of 43 varieties of Border Bearded Irises are included.

The Median Iris Rainbow is an Ebook on CD that features more than 400 varieties of Median Irises in big, beautiful, full color photos. This is NOT just a group of photos thrown onto a CD. The Median Iris Rainbow is a book on CD that looks just like a regular book. Each variety is alphabetically placed within its particular size class. You can easily move from page to page or section to section by the index or page bookmarks. Every page can be printed out on your printer if you wish to do so.

Also included in this Ebook is information concerning organizations dedicated to growing Median Irises. We even provide addresses where these wonderful (but sometimes difficult to find) smaller irises can be purchased from a wide range of Iris growers from all parts of the United States plus Canada and Australia.
