FAMILY BIOGRAPHIES BY COUNTY

(The entire book, ALL of the listed biographies for each of the following counties are included on one CD):

Many of the persons profiled in these biographies lived at various times in several different counties. The listings here are where they were recorded as living at the time of the publication of the book in 1894. Many lived in other counties in previous times and some probably moved after the publication of the book. It is not unusual for some to have lived in three or four or even more counties over the course of their lifetime.

Despite the title of the book, Memorial and Biographical Record of Southwest Texas, the biographies are primarily concentrated in counties in south central Texas.

385 biographies (69 percent of the total) are the following ten counties:
Austin County, Bexar County, Caldwell County, Fayette County, Gonzales County, Guadalupe County, Hays County, Lavaca County, Victoria County, Wilson County

An 125 additional biographies (22 percent of the total) are in the following nine counties:
Brazoria County, Colorado County, DeWitt County, Fort Bend County, Goliad County, Matagorda County, Nueces County, Webb County, Wharton County
